Gaia Facial Steam

$16.00

Give your skin a warm hug from Mother Nature herself. This ritual combines the art of steaming with nature’s bounty, resulting in a fresh-faced glow that rivals even the fanciest of spa treatments. Facial steaming is a delightful way to give your skin a boost of hydration and relaxation. It is also a great way to open up and clear your pores on a deeper level than just cleansing with soap and water. The mixture of herbs I have chosen for this recipe are known to be calming and cleansing. Tulsi Basil in particular is well-known for its anti-bacterial properties, making it a great herb for acne-prone skin.

.5 oz bag

Ingredients: Calendula, Chamomile, Tulsi Basil, and Rose Petals

Recommended use: 1-2 tablespoons per steam. There are 6-12 facial steams per bag, depending on the dosage you use.

Directions for use:

What You'll Need:

  • 1-2 tablespoons of the Gaia Facial Steam Herbs

  • A heat-safe bowl or facial steamer

  • Water

  • A towel

Steps:

  1. Prepare Your Space: Find a cozy spot where you can relax. Set the mood by lighting your favorite incense and turning on your favorite playlist.

  2. Cleanse Your Face: Start with freshly cleansed skin. Remove any makeup and wash your face with a gentle cleanser.

  3. Heat the Water: Boil about 3-4 cups of water. If using a bowl, make sure it's heat-safe (glass or stainless steel) and large enough to hold the water.

  4. Add your herbs: Put 1-2 tablespoons of herbs into the bowl.

  5. Steam Time: Once the water is hot, carefully pour it into the bowl. Place your face over the steam—keeping your face about 8-12 inches away to avoid burns. Drape the towel over your head and the bowl to trap the steam.

  6. Relax and Enjoy: Close your eyes and breathe deeply. This is a great time to practice meditation. Allow the steam to work its magic for about 5-10 minutes. Feel the warmth envelop your skin, opening up those pores!

  7. Cooling Down: After steaming, gently pat your face dry with a clean towel. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer - I recommend the Calendula Moisturizing Salve from Free Range Human, of course. ;)

  8. Frequency: For best results, indulge in a facial steam once a week or every other week, depending on your skin’s needs.
